CODE OF CONDUCT
Code of Conduct (Parent and Player)
In order for the Elsinore Aquatics Club to provide programming for everyone and at the highest level for each individual athlete, it is essential to recognize that participation in the EAC activities is a commitment being made by players and their families. Therefore, it is important that we outline the expectations for all players, participants and their parents. All players and their parents are responsible for being familiar with the Code of Conduct and for compliance with the Code. Please read the following guidelines that we expect all players and their parents to follow. By playing or participating in any EAC activities or by enrolling your child(ren) in the program you agree to follow the guidelines.
Guidelines.
All players, parents and family members will:display proper respect and sportsmanship toward coaches, teammates, opponents, volunteers, officials and the public;refrain from any speech toward or about another player, team member, opponent, coach or volunteer which is rude, demeaning, belittling or otherwise negative in any way; andrefrain from any behavior that may discredit, reflect poorly on, or embarrass the team or EAC.Any physical or verbal harassment, intimidation or threats and any inappropriate physical contact is strictly prohibited and may result in a player’s suspension or expulsion from the team or Club.Decisions about playing time, team composition, and all other water polo-related matters are made exclusively by the coaching staff and are not open to debate, discussion or denotations with players or parents. A player should feel free to discuss his/her status with the coaches at an appropriate time. Playing time and travel teams are not distributed to athletes on an equal basis and are not guaranteed by club membership.Parents, guests and family members are expected to stay in the bleachers and away from the coaches during practices and games.Parents, guests and family members in attendance at practices and games are expected to show support for all athletes, coaches, and other parents, and refrain from any negative talk.Parents, guests and family members are expected to be mindful and supportive of our behavior, practice, performance, competition, attendance, fundraiser, and refund policies.Parents are expected to get their children to all practices and games on time and fully prepared for the game, practice, or other event. As a general rule, players should arrive at games at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the match.No player will be allowed to participate in any practice of game unless he/she is registered with United States of America Water Polo (USAWP).All players must dress in appropriate team apparel when such is required under the circumstancesParents are required to discuss this Code of Conduct policy with their child(ren) and ensure their child(ren) understand the code of conduct expected from them as a player in all EAC activities.
Conflict Resolution Policy. All members must follow the EAC policy for resolution. Problems, questions, or complaints regarding any part of the training program should be discussed in the following order with the following Club adults:

Duty to Report Violations. Parents, players, coaches and volunteers are encouraged to report any and all suspected violations of the EAC Code of Conduct. All reported violations of the Code of Conduct laid out by EAC will result in a review by the EAC Board. The Board will enforce the Code of Conduct through the following means, in the Board’s absolute discretion, based on the severity and repetition of violations:
1st level offense: Letter from EAC defining discipline actions and restitution.2nd level offense: Suspension of player and/or parent from attending games and/or practices.3rd level offense: PARENT and PLAYER suspended or expelled for the remainder of the season and a hearing to determine the player’s eligibility for future play.
*If conduct occurs away from home, the player may be sent home by the first available transportation (after notice to, and coordination with, the player’s parent). Any additional expenses incurred in the transportation will be the parents’ sole cost and expense.
PLEASE NOTE: The EAC has the right to suspend or expel any player and/or parent without proceeding through Levels 1 and 2 if an incident is deemed sufficiently serious, for example violent or threatening behavior or physical contact.
WARNING Athletes may be penalized for extreme behavior exhibited by parent(s) up to and including removal from the team. Parents are encouraged to participate at all events, but to do so in a sportsmanlike manner that does not disrupt any game or activity.
I, the undersigned player, have read and understand the Elsinore Aquatics Club Code of Conduct. I understand that I am required to abide by this Code of Conduct to participate in any Club activities.
Waiver of Liability
Elsinore Aquatics Club Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement (Parent and Player)
In consideration of participating in Elsinore Aquatics Club (“EAC”) club activities, including practices, games, scrimmages, matches, and/or traveling with EAC, and the use of any facilities arranged by EAC, the parent of the player (the “Player Parent”), on behalf of him/herself, his/her minor child(ren), and their respective successors, assigns, agents, heirs, and next of kin (collectively the “Player Parties”) hereby agrees as follows:
1. The Player Parent enters this Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement (“Agreement”) by and on behalf of him or herself, his/her minor child(ren) that are members of EAC and as identified below (individually or collectively, as the case may be, the “Player”) and each of their respective successors, assigns, agents, heirs and next of kin. The Player Parent agrees to the terms of this Agreement on behalf of itself and the Player Parties.
2. As a participant in EAC, player will be provided with the opportunity to participate in games, scrimmages, matches and/or tournaments, and receive instruction from coaches (which include paid or volunteer coaches) in water polo at various events sponsored, operated or participated by EAC (collectively the “EAC Activities”). This Agreement shall relate to and apply to all EAC Activities Player participates in regardless of the location of such EAC Activity.
3. Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, acknowledges that EAC and all EAC Activities are primarily administered by volunteers rather than paid professionals. EAC Activities are also conducted by paid staff members, including paid coaches. Player Parent further acknowledges that Player Parent and Player are required to comply with all EAC Codes of Conduct as such may be modified from time to time and in the event Player Parent or Player fail to abide by such Codes of Conduct, EAC shall have the right to remove the offending party, including the Player, from participation in a specific or any future EAC Activity.
4. The Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, hereby acknowledges that participation in the EAC Activities necessarily involves travel; play in both indoor and outdoor pools during various weather conditions including adverse weather conditions; physical contact between players, equipment and pool facilities; and risk of bodily injury including risk of severe and permanent physical injury or death. Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, understands that participation in such sport is at the player’s own risk and liability.
5. Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue EAC, its owners, board of directors, officers, agents, employees, volunteers, sponsors, coaches (whether paid or volunteer) or representatives of EAC (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, damages, costs, fines, penalties, expenses, obligations, liabilities, indebtedness, causes of action, costs, losses, expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees and association costs), or losses (collectively “Claims”) which the Player Parties may incur arising out of or in connection with any injury to persons or property or the dismemberment or death of any person arising out of or in connection with the Player’s participation in EAC Activities whether such Claim arises as a result of the actions, in-actions, omissions or negligence of any of the Released Parties or any other player, their family members, guests or invitees.
6. Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, hereby agrees to indemnify, defend (with counsel selected by EAC), save and hold harmless EAC and the Released Parties from any Claims EAC or the Released Parties may incur out of or related to the Player Parties’ actions, inactions, omissions, or conduct while participating in EAC Activities. Player and the Player Parties shall be solely and absolutely responsible for their actions while participating in EAC Activities, including such actions which result in the injury, dismemberment or death of another person participating in an EAC Activity.
7. Player Parent as the parent or guardian of the Player, a minor child, hereby authorizes EAC and any of the Released Parties to seek emergency medical or dental care as may be recommended by a duly licensed physician. EAC will use its reasonable judgment to determine when emergency medical attention is needed and what appropriate actions are required. In the event the Player is traveling with EAC for an EAC Activity (without the supervision of a Player Parent or other legal guardian), Player Parent, on behalf of itself and the Player Parties, hereby further authorizes EAC and any of the Released Parties participating in such EAC Activities to seek routine medical, dental or surgical diagnosis or treatment, or hospital care which is deemed advisable by a duly licensed physician. In the event of any expenses relating to such medical treatment, whether emergency or routine in nature, Player Parent shall be solely and absolutely liable for.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT & CONSENT:
The Player Parent hereby acknowledges that I/we have read this Agreement and that I/we understand the terms, and understand that I/we, on behalf of myself, the Player and the Player Parties, have given up substantial rights by executing or acknowledging acceptance to this Agreement. I/we enter into this Agreement voluntarily, freely and without inducement of any kind.
Player Parent further understands and acknowledges that by clicking “Accept” on this registration portion of EAC’s website of the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement that such action shall be deemed the same as Player Parent’s actual execution of this Agreement.
MEDIA RELEASED:
we have your permission to display photos of your athlete during Elsinore Aquatics Club's program? Pictures of athletes are captured during training sessions and competitive games. These photos are used for marketing purposes, social media posts, and communication with club members and affiliates.
